Richland site could be removed from Hazardous Sites List

RICHLAND, Wash. -- You have a chance to voice your opinion on whether a contaminated site in Richland should be removed from the Department of Ecology's Hazardous Sites List.

The site used to be an automotive service shop and is called the Tri City Battery Goodyear Site.  It's at 601 George Washington Way.  It has now been cleaned up and has been determined to no longer pose a threat to human health or the environment, but they need public comment to take it off the list.

Send your written comments to the Ecology Site Manager for consideration until February 14th.
