Possible child luring in Walla Walla

Posted: Updated:

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Walla Walla Police are on the lookout for a possible child luring suspect. Police say on Thursday, two Green Park Elementary students walking home from school on Division Street were approached by a man in a car. He offered the girls a ride but they declined.

They say suspect pulled ahead to another group of students, asking if they also wanted a ride. They said declined as well. Students say the man then made a "wolf call".

The suspect was described as being in his 20's with dark hair. He was seen driving an older blue or green two-door car with a broken tail light.

Also, last Friday, police received a report of possible luring. Parents say two Sharpstein Elementary students were approached while walking home on Howard Street. The students say a white man with brown hair, in his 30's offered them a ride home. When they said no, he apparently drove off. He was described as having a lot of freckles and they say he may have a speech impediment.
