ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The Central Washington Wildcats continue to climb the ladder in the D-II basketball rankings, this week up from 16th to 14th.
The Wildcats are coming off an 88-59 thumping of Simon Fraser Saturday in which they dominated inside. Center Coby Gibler had 16 points off the bench and played a key supporting role to Chris Sprinker and Jamar Berry.
Gibler says he is continung to try and take advantage of every opportunity.
"I'm just trying to be more aggressive every game," said Gibler. "I want to take shots when they are there and stay as aggressive as possible and get stuff going towards the hoop."
"I've told everybody all year long, Coby Gibler is a big piece of this puzzle," said Head Coach Greg Sparling. "I truly think if Gibler brings it every night, it's going to be a great stretch run here."
Next up, Central at Alaska Thursday. The Wildcats are 15-2 on the season.
