Ams Can't Expect to Go to Burger Ranch Every Night

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- After a busy week last week, the Tri-City Americans have had a few days off this week to prepare for the US Division leader, the Portland Winterhawks on Friday night.

So far, the Ams are 3-2 against Portland this season.

The Ams are coming off Sunday's 4-3 loss to Kelowna. Head Coach Jim Hiller says his team can't always expect to win easily at the Toyota Center. They can't always expect to score 5 goals and give fans that coveted trip to Burger Ranch.

"When we're just coming up expecting to go to Burger Ranch, then sometimes it doesn't happen that way," said Hiller. "You got to come and work and if it's a one goal game, you might only get one chance or one shot all night. We have to play those games and win those games too. So if there's a positive [to losing the game to Kelowna], it's players understanding that."
