YAKIMA, Wash- The number of people who tested positive for sexually transmitted diseases fell last year in Yakima County. That's according to the Yakima Health District.
New HIV cases dropped from 17 in 2009 to 11 last year. Chlamydia dropped to 1,019 cases from 1,080. There were 26 Gonorrhea cases compared to 38 in 2009. Also, genital herpes cases dropped from 53 to 46.
