Central Washington: 'Little Brother' Has Got Game

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The Central Washington Wildcat Men are again on the rise in this week's D-II basketball poll. They are up 3 spots to 11th.

But let's talk about the shortest member of the Wildcats, #10 and guard, Chris Scott. Scott stands at just 5'7" but against Alaska, he dropped in 20 to lead the Cats to a win.

But on the team, he is known as 'Little Brother', despite the fact that he is a senior.

"We always go to restaurants and [people] ask, 'How old do you think he is?'" said Scott. "The people always think we're a high school team or that we're in high school because of me."

"The football coach in the hallway was asking if there was some way we can get him in the weight room to see if he can get some weights, get a little weight added to his body," said guard Drew Harris.

"I know I'm older than them and that they're all my little brothers," said Scott. "They're all little guys to me because they have to respect their elders."

Remember: a Central doubleheader on Saturday on SWX. The Central men tip-off at 7:30pm, the women at 5:05pm.
