KENNEWICK, Wash.-- This weekend more than 100 dentists and hygienists in the Tri-Cities will come together to help uninsured children.
Saturday is the 21st Annual Children's Community Dental Day. Volunteers will be at two different dentist offices, providing free check-ups and treatment to more than 100 children who can't otherwise afford it.
Kathy Story, Oral Health Coordinator for the Benton-Franklin Health District, says, "We have had changes in our community with situations where people either lost jobs or they've picked up a job without dental insurance. So, we want to make sure every kid had a chance to get their teeth examined, cleaned, and fixed if that's what's needed."
The Children's Community Dental Day is Saturday, February 5th. There are two locations:
Columbia Basin Pediatric Dentistry: 7501 W. Deschutes Place in Kenenwick
Advanced Pediatric Dentistry: 7425 Wrigley Drive, Suite #201, in Pasco.
Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis from 8:00am to noon.
