NFL Quarterback and Central Washington Alum, Kitna Speaks at Alma Mater
ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- A famous Central Washington alum and NFL quarterback returned to his roots Thursday night in Ellensburg.
Jon Kitna, who graduated from Central in 1996 was joined by fellow Wildcat alum Eric Boles to talk to Central students about leadership, building life-long relationships, and becoming a better person.
Kitna has played 15 years in the NFL, a lot longer than he ever thought he would. He says it is cool that they still have him come speak at Central after so long.
"There's a lot of pride that goes with it and a huge responsibility, knowing that people want to hear what I have to say," said Kitna. "So, you want to have something valuable that they can hold onto and that hopefully can impact their lives in the right way. Hopefully, they learn that they need to surround themselves with like-minded people that are trying to help them achieve their true dreams in life."
