KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri City Court Club is giving its members an exciting place to cool off this summer.
They're about to break ground on a water park similar to the one in Hermiston.
It'll feature a zero-entry pool, 28-foot twisting slide, a lazy river big enough for water walking or a relaxing float on an inner tube and a spray zone with toys for kids.
There will also be places to lounge in the sun or shade and a barbecue area.
A concession stand will have a menu offering cold beverages along with fresh salads and fruit, pizza, hot dogs and smoothies.
Court Club managers say this is a great reason to join the club.
"Yeah, it's an incentive to join the club, definitely especially during the summer. It's going to be really hot and it'll be a great place to be. We're a family oriented facility and we really see this as being something exciting for the families to use," said Court Club Marketing Director Stephen Wallenfels.
The water park will also have a vortex and a place for water basketball. It'll be built where the two outdoor tennis courts are now.
