Local brewery sales are up

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.—A local brewery says their sales spiked this week and with two big events hitting their bar this weekend, they don't see sales slowing down anytime soon.

Ice Harbor Brewery on Saturday is hosting a fundraiser.  $1.00 of each glass of their new release ‘Patriot Pilsner' goes toward a WSU Tri-Cities veteran memorial.  On a typical Saturday night about 400 mugs are poured into totaling about $1,600.  However, Saturday they expect to raise about $3,000 during the event.

Plus, they are hosting parties for Super Bowl Sunday.  The owner, Mike Hall, says they expect to have a great weekend of sales.

However, Hall says their big sales started this past week.  Typically, he says, they are slow until Saint Patrick's Day.  They've seen a 10% increase since last year.  It's these kinds of demands that have allowed them to expand.  In fact, within the past few months they started distributing outside of the Tri-Cities.

"I think we'll see another 10 percent growth this year," says Mike Hall, Owner of Ice Harbor Brewery.

If you are 21 or older the fundraiser for the WSU Tri-Cities veteran memorial goes until 11:30pm Saturday at the Ice Harbor Brewery on North Benton in Kennewick.
