SELAH, Wash. – Selah High School business students are teaming up with Subway to encourage their peers to live healthier lives.
The "Fresh and Fit" campaign started last month and combines exercise and food programs. It offers various sports activities after school and sells Subway sandwiches on campus.
"It is been going great," said Taylor Dale Vance, a junior at the high school. "We've had a lot of students be committed to doing this and it's been a lot of fun."
Members of DECA and FCCLA, which are national educational organizations that teach students marketing and leadership skills, run the "Fresh and Fit" campaign.
In addition to creating the program, students had to develop a public relations plan to sell and promote the campaign.
