KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Three Rivers Convention Center welcomes wine industry experts from all over the world. The Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers is holding it's annual convention Tuesday through Friday in Kennewick.
Organizers expect more than 1,300 people to attend. "You've got folks coming from all over the world because of this region and what they're able to produce here. The experts that will be here this week will be able to give you the specifics but this area is just booming within the wine industry. it's getting the respect and attention that its deserved all along," says Corey Pearson, the Executive Director of the Three Rivers Convention Center.
The event is only for industry insiders and not open to the public. Because of growth in past years, both the Toyota Center and Three Rivers Convention Center are being used to accommodate the event.
