Presley Breaks GSL Scoring Record as Prep Clinches #1

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gonzaga Prep senior Tia Presley broke the Greater Spokane League's all-time scoring record Tuesday night as the Bullpups clinched the conference's #1 seed with a 38-36 victory over North Central.

Presley's record-breaking basket came midway through the second quarter as the Bullpups outscored the Indians 12-0 and took a 25-9 lead into the lockerroom.  North Central mounted a furious comeback, outscoring Gonzaga Prep 27-13 in the third and fourth quarters before falling short by two points.

 

Mead 53, Central Valley 30

Mead used overpowering defense and and an opportunistic offense to crush Central Valley 53-30. The Panthers improved to 10-7 in conference play, while Central Valley dropped to 9-8. Both teams play one more game before the district tournament starts nextx week.
