RICHLAND, Wash. - Employees at a Richland landscaping business confirm the co-owner of the company was killed in a plane crash in Honduras this morning. Flynn Tomchuk was co-owner of Sunscapes Inc.
There were no survivors. Tomchuk, 47, was one of 14 people killed in the accident (12 passengers, 2 pilots). Three victims onboard were reportedly Americans. The plane went down just outside the capital on top of a mountain near Santa Ana.
Employees say Tomchuk was in Honduras with his family doing church work. One of fellow his church members from a local Jehovah's Witness church says he was returning from an elderly mission when the plane went down.
The crash is under investigation, but CNN reports the weather conditions were cold and foggy.
