KENNEWICK, Wash. -- In his 2nd year with the Tri-Cities Fever, Coach Adam Shackleford has the chance to do everything his way.
This year he had all off-season to hand pick the team's talent, meaning he has even higher expectations for the team.
Returning players like quarterback Houston Lillard say they have nothing but respect for coach 'Shack."
"He's a good dude," said Lillard. "He's really easy to talk to but don't take his kindness for weakness because when I came in I thought he might not be as serious as coaches that yell and scream but he's the real big dog to be scared of."
"Obviously, if you ask these guys, they are all going to make the football team," said Shackleford. "The reality of it is that their not. But, I see some guys playing with some confidence. I think as we go here and get a couple days into practice, our speed is really going to pick up."
