Weather Update: Try to view the "Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis" before a dusting of snow/clouds arrive tonight
According to NASA projections, the aurora may begin around 7pm and last for 6-8 hours. Locally, the most cloud-free area may be just W and NW of Spokane from the West Plains to Coulee Dam. Away from city lights (although there's a full moon), you might be able to capture the interactive dance between the earth's magnetic field and charged solar particles as they produce a ballet of green & white filaments across the northern sky.
Friday: Light morning snow ends quickly & skies become partly cloudy for the afternoon…then, mostly clear for the evening (Great for night skiing!). This should signal the onset of quiet weather until Monday. Low/High, 25°/38°.
