Teddy Bear drive for sick children

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Students at Kamiakin High are collecting teddy bears to help sick children.

Paige King and Taylor Monson chose the teddy bear drive for their senior project. They both saw loved ones go to the hospital when they were young.. So they thought a teddy bear would be a perfect gift for a child who may not be feeling well. "I think it just brings a little hope. It lets them know that people care and things will eventually get better, it doesn't pay a medical bill and it doesn't cure a disease, but it will put a smile on the child's face and that's all a parent wants to see," said Senior Paige King.

The girls hope to collect at least 100 teddy bears. If you're interested in helping out you can take your donations to the Kamiakin High Office.
