YAKIMA, Wash. -- A man whose murder conviction was overturned last year was back in court Thursday.
James Jaime was formally charged with second-degree murder charges in the 2005 shooting where Ignacio Ornelas, 50, was gunned down.
The Washington State Supreme Court reversed Jaime's murder conviction in 2010. The court ruled it was unfair his 2006 trial was held in the county jail rather than the courthouse.
Jaime's bail remains at $1 million dollars bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 17.
