MABTON, Wash. -- A Mabton woman is offering to donate her mobile home to families whose homes burned down last week in White Swan.
Owner Marcie Earp says she'll donate her 65-foot, single-wide mobile home to a family in need for free. All they have to do is get the permit and arrange to haul it out themselves.
The home comes with flooring and some appliances.
Earp says the structure of the approximately 30 year old home is in good condition, and that it just needs a touching up before moving in. The spare trailer has just been sitting on her property for a few years.
"I don't really have any use for it. And, when this tragedy happened out there, it just, the light went one. And, I am more than happy somebody would be able to get into something, have some shelter," Earp said.
Earp says she has contacted the Yakama Nation, but was told they are very busy at the moment.
If you know any family who would be interested in Marcie Earp's offer, they can contact her directly at (509) 790-7874. Earp notes, that this offer is for anyone, and not just limited to families in White Swan.
