Priest from Yakima Diocese Relieved of Duties

Posted: Updated:

Monterey, CALIF. -- A priest from the Yakima Diocese is in trouble over a sex abuse case in California.

Father Milich has been working with the Diocese of Monterey County while taking care of his parents, however he's been relieved of his duties after he failed to report sex abuse allegations involving another priest and a parishioner.

Father Milich claims he didn't report the incident because the alleged victim was an adult and that the victim had told Father Milich he was already working with an attorney.

It is now up to Yakima Diocese Bishop Carlos Sevilla to decide if Father Milich will return to his duties in Washington State.
