"Pyramid of Wishes" raising money for the dreams of Yakima Valley children
YAKIMA, Wash. – Children's Wishes and Dreams will host its annual dinner on Saturday to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses or life-altering injuries.
The "Pyramid of Wishes" dinner will include both a live and silent auction at the Holy Family Activities Center. Volunteers have been working since Friday to prepare the location for the group's largest fundraiser of the year.
"It's amazing," said Heidi Anderson, a volunteer. "The wishes are as unique as the children that give them and each one is extremely important."
The group has at least 14 wishes from children in the Yakima Valley that is it working to pay for at this time. In the past, the group has paid for trips to Disneyland or purchased equipment to help children with their injuries.
