RICHLAND, Wash.—42 teams of high school students from Washington and Oregon competed Saturday in a Jeopardy-style competition.
The event was the Department of Energy's 19th annual Regional Science Bowl. Each team had to correctly answer questions about astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics and space sciences. The coordinator of the event says the competition gets students excited for a future career.
The winning team gets an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. for the 21st national competition in April.
