Three WSDOT traffic alerts for Yakima Valley this week

The South Central Region office of the Washington State Department of Transportation has three traffic advisories for the week that end on different days but all begin on Monday.

Expect single lane closures at the Interstate 82 / Valley Mall Boulevard interchange on a 24-hour basis through Friday afternoon. The specific areas impacted by construction are Main. St. to Rudkin Rd. on the boulevard and on Main St. itself, between the boulevard and Old Town Road.

This is part of ongoing work in the area to build new roundabouts.

Intermittent single lane closures also start Monday on State Route 22 from I-82 to Toppenish between E. Branch Rd. and McDonald Rd. through Friday. McDonald Rd. remains closed through Wednesday between SR-22 and Track Rd.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone, crews are working on an the latest phase of placing irrigation pipe along the state road.

Rerouting of State Route 823 in Selah will bring single lane closures on S. Wenas Ave. from 1st Ave. to 3rd Aveue through Thursday. The same situation for N. Wenas Ave. heading southbound near Fremont Ave. Flaggers will direct traffic through this zone.
