How much is Franklin County paying former prosecutor for cases ?
PASCO, Wash. -- Steve Lowe officially left office as Franklin County Prosecutor in January, but he's still working for the county.
Lowe is serving as special prosecutor in several high profile murder cases. So far Franklin County has been billed $15,000 dollars for his work, "I chose to give them a figure that would reflect four months worth of my availability, and that's what the court set at and at this stage the county hasn't said no, but I also haven't been paid yet and I'm sure it's on it's way at some point," says Lowe.
Lowe will serve in his current role until April 30th. He says he expects to receive payment at that point. However, compensation could increase if he's asked to handle any trials past April 30th.
