Here's how Pasco Police summarized the scenario:

At 2:30 PM this afternoon Pasco Police responded to what was being reported as an armed robbery at the Pick A Pop Convenience Store in the 1500 Block of North 4th Street in Pasco.

As officers arrived on the scene it was learned that a male individual had stolen a package of cash from behind the counter.  The male suspect reached over the counter grabbing a bundle of cash while the clerk was distracted. The suspect fled the store on foot and later was observed leaving the area in a vehicle.   Police were able to track down the vehicle and identity of the driver.      The driver and vehicle were stopped by police in the 2600 block of Octave a short time after the theft occurred.   Police at this hour are working on identifying the suspect of felony theft of money.

The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male, 25 years of age, with short black hair.   He was wearing a black pullover zipper jacket and blue jeans.  The driver of the getaway vehicle is a 22 year old Pasco man who name will not be released at this hour.
