Cheering program needs new spring floor

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.—The Elite Force Cheer Program is looking to upgrade their spring floor.

The cheer program is designed for girls and boys ages 2 to 18 years old.  They say their spring floor only has seven panels, and they compete on floors with nine panels.

‘We have seven panels right now.  Every competition we go to has 9 panels, so we are automatically at a disadvantage, because we can only choreograph and practice on a smaller space than what we actually compete on," says Beth Millard, Assistant Director.

Millard says they are trying to raise $6,000 for a new floor.  A silent auction will be held April 11th through the 16th at the Mid-Columbia Gymnastics.  Donations can be sent to 1523-C Fowler St. Richland, WA 99352.  To contact the group call 308-2063.
