Central's Sparling Says Depth and Inside Game Will Give SPU Trouble
ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- When Central Washington and Seattle Pacific meet, there is guaranteed to be a ton of energy in the building.
And it will be no different when the two teams meet Friday night in Nicholson Pavillion in the Western Regional Tournament.
Players say this late in the season, it is all about staying mentally tough.
"A lot of guys are sore, tired, sick and it's just going to come down to mental toughness," said Central Senior Jamar Berry. "We just have to go out there and work harder than them."
"I think our depth is going to give them troubles," said Central Head Coach Greg Sparling. "I think our inside game is going to give them troubles. We're going to turn up the heat. I foresee them playing in the 40s and 50s and we're going to try and get up in the 80s and 90s."
