Ellensburg woman injured after falling off hillside
ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- A 19-year-old Ellensburg woman is injured after slipping and falling at Umtanum Falls, about 8 miles southwest of Ellensburg.
Kittitas County Sheriff's undersheriff, Clayton Myers says Ashley Pruatt received injuries to her right leg and arm and ribs after falling about 30-40 feet.
Deputies say Pruatt had been hiking with friends Saturday afternoon when she lost her footing while crossing the hillside next to the top of Umtanum Falls.
Kittitas Co. Sheriff's Office, Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue and Kittitas Co. Search and Rescue volunteers responded to the accident. Pruatt was taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital, her condition is unknown at this time.
