Children learn about the cowboy code of honor

Posted: Updated:

FINLEY, Wash.- Children around the Tri-Cities are learning about the cowboy code of honor this week.

The interactive presentation "Cowboys & Kids" was at Finley Elementary School this morning, teaching students about patriotism, western heritage and the cowboy lifestyle.

The children learned the phrase "cowboy up" a way of reminding each other to make good choices.

"She talks about how they can deal with bullies and peer pressure. She makes it easy for them to understand, says Sheriff's Posse member Sonny Jackson.

All the children who see the assembly will get a one day free pass for the "Benton Franklin Fair and Horse Heaven Round-Up Rodeo" in August.
