Man accused of killing his brother-in-law held on $2 million bail
ELLENSBURG, Wash- Monday Christopher Foley, the man accused of killing his brother-in-law, went before a Kittitas County judge this afternoon.
He was arrested Friday March 18 for allegedly killing Russell Ray, 54, during a fight. Ray had been missing for almost nine months when his body was found near Ellensburg on March 10th.
Some of Foley's employers came to court to support him. They say he just had a new baby and can't imagine he would have put his family in jeopardy.
"I just can't believe Chris is capable of doing something like this. He's always cheerful and outgoing", says Peggy Hobbs. She said Foley used to do odd jobs for her and her husband including building a barn for them.
The prosecutor says the victims blood in Foley's home. Foley is expected to be formally charged with second-degree murder next Monday. His bail remains at $2 million.
