PROSSER, Wash. -- Five months after a Prosser man was shot and killed, police have not made any arrests.
A man walking his dog back on November 20, found the body of 21 year old, River Saenz near the baseball fields behind Prosser High School. Saenz was shot in the head.
Police say they're having a hard time with this case because there were no witnesses that came forward. They're still working on some leads, but don't have any suspects yet.
Prosser Police Chief Patrick McCullough says "a lot of it has to do with making sure paperwork is filed correctly and search warrants take time, especially if it has to do with electronic data,"
McCullough says getting the right search warrant has been a challenge in this case. To get cell phone records, police have to go through the carriers like Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular.
