Kennewick doctor under fire after 3 patient deaths
Physician Frank E. Cole is charged with unprofessional conduct by the State Department of Health's Medical Commission.
We talked with the legal manager at the Department of Health today, he says the commission claims that Dr. Cole provided poor care to three patients who ended up dying, and failed to properly document his care of one of them.
DOH leaders say he has no history of misconduct and these charges are simply just charges at this point.
"They're just allegations. There are no restrictions whatsoever placed on Dr. Cole's license. Dr. Cole still has an unrestricted license and can still practice medicine," Legal Manager of DOH Mike Farrell said.
Now Dr. Cole can file an answer to the allegations. When that happens a hearing date will be set for the fall where he can defend himself.
