KENNEWICK, Wash.- A shed fire in high winds threatened neighboring homes Thursday.
The fire started a little before ten o'clock on the 900 block of West Entiat in Kennewick.
The flames spread through two very packed storage sheds, but did not damage nearby homes.
Neighbors saw the smoke and called 911.
Firefighters say that probably stopped the situation from becoming much worse.
"On a day with the wind blowing like this we easily had smoke going over the top of a half dozen homes. That very easily could have become part of the problem if things had gone unchecked.," says Deputy Chief Marvin Leonard.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
