Donate a phone or time to Domestic Violence Services
KENNEWICK, Wash.- An old cell phone can do a lot more than just take up space in your dresser drawer.
Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin Counties is asking you to donate used and unwanted cell phones.
Victims of domestic abuse can use them in an emergency or the phones can be recycled to raise money to support various programs.
"It all goes to help make sure that the women in the shelter have food, have diapers, have formula, and have all the things they need to survive on a day to day basis. And be taken care of in the shelter," says Program Director Erinn Gailey.
If you'd like to donate your time they are training volunteers this week.
