Group raises money for Leukemia

KENNEWICK, Wash.—A group is trying to raise $3,600 that will go toward ‘Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.'

Saturday a fundraiser event with 25 vendors was held in Kennewick.  ‘Team Training' will run in June for the cause.  One of the organizers says she got involved because the fundraiser holds a personal meaning.

"Actually we had a family member that passed away from Leukemia, and it's my sister in law's uncle, and she wanted to do something to changer her life, and since she's my family member I am trying to support her," says Jennifer Mead, Event Organizer.
