You've heard about the Fever's high flying offense and how they hold the league's best passing attack. What might have slipped under the radar is the defense. Ranking in the top half of the league in forced turnovers, including eighth in total interceptions with 10.
Tri-Cities will need the defense to strike Sunday, against Kent. The Predators are led by quarterback Charles McCullum whose in the top 25 in the league in rushing. He's a game time decision Sunday, due to a shoulder injury. If he plays, the Fever know he's a game changer.
Defensive back Dennis Rogan said, "Buy extra time getting out of the box escaping tackles. That's a big enough problem right there. Once he gets out in the perimeter... A quarterback like that... It's trouble ... We want to keep inside as much as possible."
Head Coach Adam Shackleford said, "If you look at them on film they got a lot a talent at a lot of spots. They got a great quarterback in Charles McCullum. We don't know if he is going to play or not. He did suffer an injury. We're preparing for him. If he's on the field they can win at anytime. We need to be ready."
