Workers begin to tear up the turf for new school building
Richland, WA-The Richland School District has started to move dirt for a new building.
Bulldozers moved in Monday morning at the site next to the school district's administration building on Snow Avenue. Workers have to remove a lot of debris buried on the property years ago before they can start construction.
Students walking to nearby Marcus Whitman Elementary School have been told to stay away from the construction site.
The school district plans to have the building completed by November.
It will be the new home for the Special Programs offices.
