Judge gives Bechtel, URS a year to prepare for trial
Kennewick, WA- A Hanford whistle blower will have to wait a year from now before his case goes to trial.
Benton County Superior Court Judge Craig Matheson Friday gave Bechtel and URS until next May to interview potential witnesses and pour through 70,000 pages of documents filed by Walter Tamosaitis and his attorney.
Tamosaitis says the Hanford contractor removed him from his job as research and technology manager for the vitrification plant in retaliation after he raised safety and technical concerns.
Tamosaitis remains employed by URS, but says he works in a basement office and is given little work.
