PENDLETON, Ore. -- 18 charges against Umatilla County District Attorney, Dean Gushwa have been dropped.
Gushwa was originally charged with 8 counts of official misconduct and 11 counts of contempt of court. The only one not dropped was one count of official misconduct, claiming Gushwa used his government position to obtain a discount for a hotel room he rented for personal use.
He was originally accused of threatening two female assistants in his office into having sexual relations with him.
Gushwa officially resigned and was given probation that will not allow him to run for public office for three years.
