KENNEWICK, Wash.—The Tri-Cities was hit wit ha heavy storm Saturday night, and Sunday neighbors were left with the damage.
Once couples says their yard flooded with four inches of rain. They now have extensive damage in both the front and back. Silt has spread throughout the driveway. However, the homeowners say they discovered last night that the problem wasn't just the downpour.
"We believe that it came from this pipe and it's underneath the roadway and then dumped out onto our property," says Judy Krzan, homeowner.
Krzan says the pipe is on Benton County land. City offices are closed on Sunday, but she plans to talk to city officials this week to try and solve the problem.
