RICHLAND, Wash. -- Walla Walla-native and longtime NFL Quarterback Drew Bledsoe was voted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame on Monday.
Bledsoe was in Richland Friday to speak at WSU Tri-Cities Graduation. The former Cougar QB also talked about the NFL Lockout. Bledsoe is sure fans will have football to watch next season.
But, he says, while players wait, he has a spot for them at his Walla Walla Winery.
"Actually, I sent around an email to Tom Brady and Peyton Manning and said if they needed a job, I could put them to work at the vineyard," said Bledsoe. "We got some good responses from them. Guys are obviously still working out. They are staying in shape. They'll be ready to play football when the time comes. The guys that are really suffering through this are the young guys, the rookies that are coming in that are missing this important time to learn the offense. So, they are going to be the ones that are really behind the eight ball when it comes to training camp."
