KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Beer enthusiasts and home brewers and Ice Harbor Brewery all making special plans for the annual American Craft Beer week which is celebrated nationwide May 16-22.
In 2006, with Congress' help, the week became the largest national effort focusing on American craft brewers and remains so today.
"Well for the craft brewers it's kind of a way to promote craft brewing, I guess it gives us an excuse to try and get our name out there," says Russell Corey with Ice Harbor Brewery.
To celebrate the week, the Kennewick Brewery is releasing its Barleywine Tuesday. They are also releasing its new IPA Ice Harbor Double Red on Thursday. Ice Harbor Brewery is also giving people tours on Thursday and Friday starting at 6:00pm. Saturday, they are having a cook out at 206 N. Benton Street. You can contact them at 509-582-5340.
