WEST RICHLAND, Wash.-- All 18 holes are underwater at the West Richland Golf Course. The course is notorious for flooding any time the Yakima River rises, but usually it's only a few holes. This time, the water crept up over all 18 greens.
The head groundskeeper, Oscar Contreras, has worked there six years and says he's never seen the flood come up this high. He says, "This is the worst one I've seen so far in my entire career, as far as being groundskeeper here."
Even though the course is closed, the newly built clubhouse is open for food and drinks.
