Fever Need Road Warrior Mentality

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Tri-Cities Fever Head Coach Adam Shackleford says it again and again. You have got to win your home games and do your best on the road.

So far, the Fever have been perfect at home at 6-0 but are just an even 2-2 away from the Toyota Center. This weekend, they face one of their toughest road test of the season as they take on the 9-1 Colorado Ice.

The winner of the Colorado game controls their own destiny when it comes to home field advantage in the playoffs.

So, what is it going to take for the Fever to get that road warrior mentality.

"I think we have got a team that is very talented," said Shackleford. "We can't decide before the game if we've won or lost the football game. We need to go out and do it."

"We just need to trust each other," said receiver Joey Hew Len. "I think we need to have confidence in one another and know that we can win the game."
