Bail denied for Yakima man in deadly home invasion

YAKIMA, Wash. - A Yakima man accused of a home invasion homicide in 2010 made his first court appearance Monday.

Police arrested Terrek Corbin, 24, last week for the death of Mark Daman Wallace, 45, of Yakima.

Police believe Corbin and two other suspects forced their way into the Wallace home on 10th Avenue back on October 24, 2010.

Detectives say DNA evidence on a baseball hat, handgun and sweatshirt found linked Corbin to the murder. The hat, gun and sweatshirt were found together in a garbage dumpster on the 1200 block of S. 7th Street.

Prosecutors asked that his $10 million bail be denied, citing two prior convictions of 1st degree robbery in 2003 and 2005. The judge agreed and denied bail for Corbin.
Corbin faces first-degree murder charges. His next court date is scheduled for June 6th.
