Tri-Cities had two goals at the beginning of the season. Win each and every home game, and win the division. The Fever can accomplish both in their final home game of the regular season, this Saturday against Fairbanks.
Currently Tri-Cities leads the Pacific Division by a half a game, and with a win over the Grizzlies this weekend, they would clinch the division title outright.
Head coach Adam Shackleford said, "It would mean we can finally put a stamp on this new era of Tri-Cities football and what Teri Carr's done for this city and organization. I'm happy to be apart of it and that would be a big win moving in the right direction in this rebuilding process that we've talked about."
Starting quarterback Houston Lillard added, "It's big. I think if we win this weekend it will take another monkey off our back... Just worry about finish the season strong... Preparing for the playoffs. So the quicker we get it done the better."
