PASCO, WA- People summoned for jury duty Wednesday filled the Franklin County Courthouse parking lot.
The potential jurors filled out a questionnaire asking them what they know about the case of two brothers accused of murdering a Pasco man two years ago.
Psychiatrists at Eastern State Hospital have declared Ramon Garcia Morales competent to stand trial, but defense attorneys say Morales' mental and physical condition has worsened.
The defense team says Morales has stopped communicating, and the judge had to call a recess Tuesday when Morales became sick in the courtroom.
Attorneys say they could have a jury seated by Friday.
The trial has been scheduled to last about two weeks.
