RICHLAND, Wash. -- The BMW line is leaving Hahn Motor Company in Yakima after 34 years and heading to the Tri-Cities.
The new home of the luxury cars will be at Tim Bush Motor Company in Richland. Tim Bush says, the deal will be official Friday, and cars will begin appearing on his lot. He has ordered 30 new vehicles.
Bush says, he is even changing the name of the dealership to Tim Bush BMW Tri-Cities.
Bush says this will be the first time BMW will be sold in the Tri-Cities since the 90's.
Hahn has been the retailer of the luxury car for the last 34 years., but BMW's headquarters made the decision to move because there are more people and more money in the area.
"BMW fits right in with the demographics for the Tri-Cities. There are over 20 BMW's sold in the Tri-Cities now without a dealer even being here," says Bush.
Bush also says with this move, he will hire about 30 more people for the dealership. Hahn says his Yakima dealership will still offer service for BMW drivers, just not work under warranty.
