It was a fun and educational day for kids out in Columbia Park.
Members from the Kennewick Fire Department, Police Department, SWAT and the Sexual Response Center came together to tell families about the take 25 program.
The whole idea is to take 25 minutes out of your day to talk to your children about their personal safety.
"For children, we want them to know, make sure they know their parents' names, their address, contact phone numbers. We want them to know not to open the doors for strangers or not to tell people on the phone that your parents aren't home or that they'll be back in an hour," officer Mike Meyer said.
The take 25 program was created to honor National Missing Children's Day. Each year it serves as a reminder to give children the tools they need to stay away from danger.
