Couple from Pasco dies in Cle Elum bus accident

UPDATE: A couple, originally from Pasco, died in a tour bus crash on I-90 in Cle Elum Sunday night. Washington State Troopers say 51 year old Ciro Astudillo Rodriguez and 45 year old Virginia Ocamposorianso died in the crash shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Friends and family say the two were a common-law-marraige couple with land in Pasco. Rodriguez and Ocamposorianso were living in Connell at the time. They leave behind three children, and three grand children.

Lt. Scott Martin of the Washington State Patrol says the bus hit a pickup truck that was parked on the highway shoulder and then rolled onto its side. Moments later, a passenger car trying avoid the accident crossed into the center median and crashed. He says two people on the bus were killed. Another person was airlifted to a hospital in serious condition. Several others were rushed to hospitals but Martin says most of them were treated for minor injuries.

The bus was carrying soccer fans from a game in Seattle and headed to Moses Lake in Grant County.
